Instant Capacity Scaling

Managing massive, unpredictable data growth often strains static server environments. Mocaas Cloud allows your enterprise to dynamically scale storage capacity independently from your compute resources, ensuring your production databases and applications always have room to scale without causing operational disruptions.

High-Performance Adaptability

Different corporate workloads demand distinct storage performance configurations. Our Block Storage solutions offer granular flexibility, allowing your infrastructure team to tailor storage performance profiles to match the specific I/O requirements of heavy analytical databases or cost-efficient archival systems.

Independent Resource Decoupling

Tying storage directly to compute limits your infrastructure agility and inflates hardware costs. By treating Mocaas Block Storage as isolated volumes, you can safely detach and reattach data layers across different VMs, enabling your team to handle intensive data loads with maximum resource efficiency.

Zero-Downtime Database Migration

Migrating massive enterprise databases between environments frequently risks costly systemic downtime. Our streamlined storage architecture enables instantaneous volume detachment and replication, letting your engineers move data smoothly across active virtual machines while maintaining total system continuity.

Common Deployment Scenarios

Discover practical infrastructure configurations designed to optimize your data storage efficiency and control your IT operational expenses.

Database Storage & Logs

Tying database storage directly to compute packages often forces companies into expensive, unnecessary core server upgrades. Mocaas Cloud eliminates this inefficiency by delivering independent Block Storage volumes that attach to your Virtual Machines seamlessly, providing instant space for data growth. This architectural separation ensures your critical database layers remain secure and fully intact even if the primary server needs to be rebuilt due to systemic issues. Your infrastructure team can optimize IT spending precisely without compromising on operational stability or corporate data security.

Dynamic Capacity Scaling

Fluctuating corporate workloads require a storage architecture that is highly flexible rather than rigid. Mocaas Cloud Block Storage operates as a modular solution, enabling your IT team to scale server drive volumes up to Terabytes instantly to accommodate sudden data spikes. When that extra capacity is no longer needed for active workloads, the storage volume can be easily detached and reallocated to other virtual servers. This flexibility completely eliminates idle hardware resources and gives your team absolute infrastructure control without operational complexity.

File Sharing & Backups

Storing application assets, system logs, and backup files on the primary server partition often slows down core database I/O performance. Mocaas Cloud Block Storage provides an isolated, high-speed repository to keep unstructured data completely separate from your core application layer. Backed by local NVMe storage, this separation effectively eliminates application downtime caused by storage bottlenecks. As a result, your corporate data lifecycle management becomes highly efficient, system operations run smoothly, and overall productivity remains at its peak.

High-Availability Clusters

High-traffic corporate platforms frequently suffer from severe performance drops when local database drives cannot handle simultaneous transaction requests. By integrating persistent storage volumes from Mocaas Cloud, your system can distribute heavy read/write workloads across independent, highly resilient drives. This persistent data decoupling gives your modern web applications the architectural flexibility to run load balancers and reliable backend clusters. Your digital infrastructure will continue operating consistently, keeping critical business data safe even during compute-layer hardware failures.

Right-Size Your Storage Infrastructure Instantly

Avoid wasting money on idle cloud resources. Fine-tune your disk configurations dynamically as your application demands change.

FAQs

We've compiled a list of common questions to help you get the most out of Mocaas Cloud. Can't find what you're looking for? Contact us for support.

Why should I use block storage?

You should consider using block storage when your local storage reaches its capacity limit and can no longer accommodate your storage needs. Block storage provides a scalable solution, allowing you to easily expand your storage capacity and meet the growing demands of your data and applications.

What is the benefit of adding block storage?

The amount of space you have in local storage depends on the type of virtual machine you have. Currently, the maximum amount of local storage available is 200 GB. If you add block storage, you can expand your storage up to 1 TB.

How many block storage units can be attached to a single virtual machine?

The limit is set at 5 to ensure the stability of the virtual machine. By adhering to this limit, you can effectively manage and balance the storage resources for each virtual machine, contributing to an efficient and stable computing environment.

Is block storage also deleted when the virtual machine is deleted?

No, because block storage is not directly connected to the virtual machine. When you delete the virtual machine, you will be prompted to detach the block storage first.

Is there a way to stop charges for block storage?

When you no longer need a block storage and wish to cease incurring charges, simply delete it using the DELETE button. This action stops the billing cycle for the block storage.
